Description:
Candidates must have 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting. Required certifications include NIH, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS. No trauma level one experience is necessary. Travel experience is preferred, but not necessary. RTO for longer than one week is not approved unless there are special circumstances. Local travelers within a 100-mile radius are not accepted. Candidates will float within the facility or to nearby affiliate facilities.
Previous charge experience is preferred, but not mandatory. Weekend coverage includes 4-5 shifts per 6 weeks. Candidates should be prepared to handle a diverse patient population, including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census averages around 90 visits, with approximately 250 visits per day. Candidates must be competent in emergency department skills and compliance requirements. This position may require floating to other units as needed.
