American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ER experience and a KY or compact RN license.
Details- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
- 14-week assignment length
- No Trauma Level I experience necessary, though Level I experience is preferred
- Candidates will float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
- Active KY or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS
- CPI and ENPC certifications preferred
- Preferred skills include care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
- Cardiac monitoring and emergency response experience required
- Triage skills preferred
- Provide emergency care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia management
- Only first-time travelers with Level I ER experience will be considered
- Travel experience preferred but not required
- RTO requests for longer than 1 week are generally not approved unless special circumstances apply
- Local candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
- Returning permanent staff must be separated from all affiliated facilities for 6 months before returning as a traveler
