Performs nursing duties according to the Nurse Practice Act. Assists with health screening activities. Administers student medications under the supervision of the school nurse. Helps with staff/student illnesses and medical emergencies.

• Keeps current with applicable health conditions, procedures, and medical protocols.
• New employees must meet all required health requirements (e.g., a negative tuberculosis test, etc.).
• Must have a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
• Valid Ohio Department of Education Permit appropriate for the assignment.
• Self-directed and able to learn required skills for the position.
• Ability to physically manage students with disabilities.
• Positive disposition and strong diplomacy skills.
• Note:
  
  Appointment requires successful completion of communicable disease, child abuse, CPR, first aid, and/or behavioral management training.
• High School/Trade School degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required
