Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a high-risk unit, requiring KY or compact RN licensure and BLS certification.

Details

Work in a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit with 17 private suites, 5 triage/PACU beds, 4 ORs, an OB ED, and a specialized antepartum unit for high-risk and postpartum care
Night shift, 3x12s (7p-7a)

Requirements

Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact)
Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Life-Threatening Dysrhythmia certifications required
ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience preferred
Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices

Additional Information

Provide direct patient care for patients before, during, and after childbirth
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement treatments within scope of practice
Coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including patient and family education
Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
Promote a positive, healing environment through collaboration with the care team
