American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery Recovery PP position requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Life-Threatening Dysrhythmia certifications.

• High-risk Labor & Delivery unit caring for patients before, during, and after childbirth
• Unit includes 17 private suites, 5 triage/PACU beds, 4 ORs, a 3-bed OB ED, and a specialized antepartum unit for high-risk and postpartum care
• Third shift schedule, 3x12s from 7p-7a
• Weekends as needed

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Life-Threatening Dysrhythmia certifications required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior experience required, though 3-5 years of nursing experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
• Facilitate admissions, transfers, discharges, and patient/family education
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Collaborate closely with the interprofessional care team to support patient outcomes
