American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of ER experience and multiple specialty certifications.

• Emergency Department setting within a hospital
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30
• 14-week assignment length
• Float to other units within the hospital or an affiliate hospital nearby may be required
• Level I Trauma Center environment

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• CPI and ENPC certifications preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred but not required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Care of ventilated patients and continuous IV sedation experience preferred
• Triage skills preferred
• At least one professional reference required for consideration

• Responsibilities include emergency patient triage, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response
• First-time travelers will only be considered if they have Level I trauma ER experience
• Candidates local within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Former UK-affiliated staff must have been separated for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
• RTO requests longer than 1 week are not approved except under special circumstances, and all time off must be disclosed prior to offer
