American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 20-bed telemetry unit specializing in post-op cardiac surgery patients, requiring KY or compact RN license.

• Work in a 20-bed telemetry unit specializing in post-op CABG, post-op cardiac surgery, CHF, and moderate risk chest pain patients
• Care for patients with multiple co-morbidities and complex care needs transferred from ICU, ED, and PACU
• 3rd shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts, 7p-7:30a
• Weekends and holidays as needed
• 36 hours per week, 0.9 FTE

• Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
• NIHSS certification required within 3 months of start
• ACLS certification required within 12 months of start
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• Last 4 of SSN and MM/DD of DOB required for consideration

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, admission/transfer/discharge coordination, and patient/family education
• Collaborate with inter-professional care team members and delegate tasks appropriately to team members
• Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate with Case Management as needed
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and documentation audits
• Candidates must reside within 75 miles for the travel pay rate, though local candidates are accepted at a lower rate
