American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.

• 42-bed telemetry unit specializing in complex patients with multiple co-morbidities
• Cares for palliative care, colorectal surgery (progressive ERAS protocol), and MDRO patients
• Includes 8 designated beds for a low acuity pediatric population
• Patients transferred from ICU, ED, and PACU
• Night shift schedule of 3x12s, 7p-7a
• Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
• 0.9 FTE position

• Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license
• BLS certification required
• Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• Recent acute care nursing experience required
• No minimum years of nursing experience required

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document per RN scope of practice and hospital policy
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including discharge planning coordination with Case Management
• Provide patient and family-centered education and individualized treatment planning
• Delegate and oversee patient care tasks performed by other team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as monitoring patient falls, pressure ulcers, and CAUTIs
• Collaborate with an inter-professional care team to promote nursing excellence and a healing environment
