American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 42-bed telemetry unit, requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.

• Work in a 42-bed telemetry unit specializing in complex patients with multiple co-morbidities
• Patient population includes palliative care, colorectal surgery with progressive ERAS protocols, and MDRO patients
• Patients are transferred from ICU, ED, and PACU
• 3rd shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts, 7p-7a
• Weekends and holidays as needed
• 0.9 FTE position

• Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license
• BLS certification required
• Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior experience required, though recent acute care experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices
• Last 4 of SSN and month/day of date of birth required for consideration

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination across admission, transfer, and discharge processes
• Deliver patient and family-centered education and facilitate discharge planning with Case Management
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and documentation audits
• Must reside within 75 miles for consideration at the travel pay rate, with local candidates accepted at a lower rate
