American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring KY or compact RN licensure and BLS certification.

• 23-bed post-interventional telemetry unit
• Cares for medical, post-procedural, complex GI oncology surgical post-op, and chemotherapy/telemetry inpatients
• Specialized training provided for post-catheterization care, femoral sheath management, and Tikosyn administration
• Night shift schedule: 3x12s, 7p-7a
• Weekends and holidays required as needed
• 36 hours per week, 0.9 FTE

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS required within 12 months of hire
• Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures
• Last 4 digits of SSN and MM/DD of date of birth required for consideration

• Provides comprehensive nursing assessments, care planning, and treatment implementation across the nursing process
• Delegates and oversees care activities performed by other team members
• Facilitates patient and family education and discharge planning in coordination with Case Management
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and core measure tracking
• Promotes a positive, healing environment through collaborative teamwork
• Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius for travel rate eligibility; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
