American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a KY or compact RN license and multiple emergency care certifications.
Details- Work in a 24-hour Emergency Department providing urgent care for severe injuries and illness
- 3rd shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7p-7a)
- 36 hours per week
- Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC, TNCC, and Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation
- ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
- No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
- Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety interventions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with interdisciplinary care team members
- Last 4 digits of SSN and MM/DD of date of birth required for consideration
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document care in accordance with scope of practice and hospital policy
- Coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including patient and family education
- Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and documentation audits
- Promote a healing, patient and family-centered care environment
- Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility, though local candidates are accepted at a lower rate
