Located in Lexington, Kentucky, The Ridge offers a healing environment to reassure patients’ sense of security and confidentiality. Dedicated to excellence, The Ridge is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, as a licensed, 110-bed hospital, providing psychiatric (mental health) and substance use disorder (drug and alcohol rehabilitation) services to children, adolescents and adults. Inpatient care is provided on a 24-hour basis, seven days a week.
Outpatient and partial hospitalization services are provided on a five-day per week basis, days and evenings. Care is provided according to an established code of ethical conduct and strict adherence to patient rights.

Position Summary:
Assists the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in managing and supervising the Nursing Department staff to ensure patients are provided with the best possible nursing care. The Nurse Manager will be considered a member of Middle Management and must be available on an “on-call” basis for staff. The Nurse Manager will ensure the monitoring and assessment of facility-wide patient nursing care.
Job Duties Include:
- Supervises employees of the Nursing Units to ensure assigned duties are complete.
- Stays within FTE guidelines established for the department, demonstrates understanding of correlation between FTE and patient census.
- Collaborates with HR Director regarding employee issues.
- Monitors employees' performance on an ongoing basis, providing regular informal feedback on work quality and quantity and on conduct. Maintains written documentation of all informal feedback.

Education
- Required graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience
- One-year supervisory experience required. Certain nursing and/or life experiences may serve as meeting experience requirements.
Certifications/Licensure
