Aspetuck Animal Hospital is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to our team. At our Rarebreed clinic, you can help reimagine the veterinary experience in your community. Aspetuck Animal Hospital
, a Rarebreed partner, is a busy 3+ doctor, AAHA Accredited, full-service veterinary hospital, and boarding facility located in New Preston, CT. Our practice offers in-house diagnostics, digital radiography, acupuncture, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, laser therapy, and a full surgical suite performing routine procedures, soft tissue procedures, and orthopedics. Our dedicated staff promotes responsible pet ownership, preventative health care, and health-related educational opportunities for our clients.

Location: New Preston, CT

Salary: $135,000-$165,000 base salary + production. Eligible for Sign-on or Relocation Bonus. New grads and experienced Doctors are welcome!

What you’ll do
  • Examine and diagnose diseases and injuries of pets (primarily dogs and cats), and treat surgically or medically
  • Collaborate within our veterinary ecosystem and communicate with referring veterinarians
  • Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and training to stay at the top of your field
  • Administer core vaccinations and counsel clients in well-pet care
  • Read and interpret radiograph and ultrasound studies (telemedicine available for difficult cases)

Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree
  • 2+ years of experience practicing veterinary medicine in a veterinary hospital setting is preferred
  • Internship training is also preferred but not required
  • Ability to attain CT Veterinary License
