Required Related Experience 6 months of experience performing similar job duties such as groundskeeping, turf and landscaping maintenance.

Preferred Education/Experience 1 year experience in groundskeeping; turf and landscaping maintenance.

Lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to and possibly over 50lbs;
Standing or walking with objects up to 25lbs;
Repetitive motion. Work is performed in assigned zone locations and employee may occasionally be exposed to elements, weather, and other non‑office or inside building type conditions.

Current position available is 7:00 AM – 3:45 PM. Hours of work will vary dependent upon situational and weather‑related factors and may require night(s), weekend(s), and holiday(s) response.

The STEPS Grounds Worker supports campus maintenance and landscaping to ensure safe, clean, and attractive outdoor environments.

• Performing grounds maintenance: mowing, trimming, edging, seeding, fertilizing, weed control, and leaf removal
• Installing and maintaining landscaped areas including mulching, planting, watering, and following landscape designs
• Using and maintaining groundskeeping equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, tractors, blowers, pressure washers)
• Pruning trees, shrubs, and bushes; maintaining gardens, sporting venues, and general campus areas
• Applying environmentally responsible weed and pest control
• Removing litter, emptying trash, and maintaining cleanliness of grounds, stairwells, and parking garages
• Preparing for and responding to winter weather events, including snow and ice removal at all hours (nights, weekends, holidays)
• Operating light to heavy snow/ice removal equipment such as salt spreaders, snowplows, blowers, and trucks
• Performing post‑winter cleanup and maintaining equipment
