As a Quality Technician, you will support the Quality Control (QC) team with implementing and maintaining our Infrared quality system, including conducting data audits, establishing controls, and providing training or feedback on related software, tools, and methodologies. Partner with the Service Manager and Leads to establish and report out on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and customer cases, while maintaining documentation in the process.
Responsibilities- Remotely review and conduct quality checks on infrared electrical inspections, along with onsite audits.
- Generate and deliver detailed inspection reports to clients when required.
- Analyze and enhance infrared images using proprietary infrared camera software.
- Provide constructive feedback to field technicians to improve the quality and accuracy of data collection and reporting.
- Offer insights and recommendations to management to enhance safety practices, reporting standards, and data collection processes.
- Collaborate with the Customer Experience and Scheduling teams to prioritize tasks and address client-related concerns.
- Complete inspection tasks in the project management system to advance workflow and trigger subsequent steps in the process.
- Supports activities related to quality management within the assigned organizational unit.
- Executes and assists the assigned organization with quality content, tools, and systems.
- Reports quality issues data, ensuring adherence to quality management system at all stages.
- Acquires and reports quality metrics and KPIs accurately and in a timely manner to facilitate the analysis and management of relevant processes.
- Perform tasks assigned in a safe manner, setting an example for others to exercise safety in their daily activities.
- Supports training of Infrared operations teams on relevant elements of quality management, supports implementation, and promotes opportunities for improvement.
- Travel to Customer sites as required (up to 50% of the time).
- Perform additional duties and participate in special projects, as assigned.
- High School Diploma Required.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Safety oriented mindset with strong awareness of hazards and alertness to danger.
- Understanding of ABB PPE requirements.
- Basic computer skills in current software platforms.
- Flexibility and willingness to learn new software programs/field software.
- Ability and willingness to follow detailed and defined guidelines.
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail.
