We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Coordinator to support electrical construction quality assurance and quality control activities.
This position is responsible for helping prevent defects through effective QA processes while identifying and resolving quality issues through electrical inspections, testing, documentation, and field coordination.
You’ll work closely with project leadership, site personnel, and contractor quality-control teams to ensure electrical installations conform to drawings, NEC requirements, contractual specifications, and established quality standards.
What You’ll Do- Execute QA/QC inspections of electrical materials, equipment, construction, and installation activities.
- Inspect major electrical distribution equipment when delivered to the project site.
- Verify electrical pathways and installations conform to drawings, NEC requirements, and contractual specifications.
- Verify required equipment clearances and proper torque requirements for cable and buss connections.
- Perform insulation resistance testing and witness or perform required torque connections.
- Inspect electrical systems throughout construction and at completion for installation conformity.
- Support manufacturer commissioning activities and project-specific testing requirements.
- Verify testing, terminating, and torquing equipment is properly calibrated and current.
- Maintain accurate QA/QC documentation, testing records, installation procedures, and Quality Control Plan information.
- Complete QA/QC portions of project work packages and coordinate with main contractor QC personnel.
- Assist with training site personnel on the QA/QC system.
- Develop punch lists and track outstanding quality items through completion.
- At least 10 years of electrical construction field experience with strong working knowledge of electrical construction standards and applicable codes.
- Ability to read, interpret, implement, and enforce the NEC.
- Ability to confidently interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, and equipment installation instructions.
- Comfortable using laptops, tablets, and associated programs for documentation and project responsibilities.
- Strong organizational, documentation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure and collaborate effectively with project teams.
- OSHA 30 is required.
- Two years of previous field QA/QC experience and a Journeyman license.
This position provides an opportunity to apply extensive electrical construction knowledge in a quality-focused field role.
You’ll have direct involvement in inspections, testing, commissioning support, quality documentation, punch-list management, and the processes that help ensure electrical installations meet established project requirements.
