The Division of Pediatric Research is seeking a detail-oriented Research Analyst to support molecular biology, biochemistry, immunodiagnostics, laboratory operations, and animal colony management.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with molecular and cellular techniques including PCR, quantitative PCR, ELISA, electrophoresis, Western blotting, molecular cloning, cell culture, and mouse husbandry. Responsibilities include conducting and analyzing molecular, biochemical, and immunologic assays; preparing DNA, RNA, and cDNA samples; maintaining laboratory organization and equipment; managing purchasing and inventory requests; and ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
Strong analytical, organizational, and laboratory management skills are highly valued for this role.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Experience with molecular and cellular biology techniques including PCR, qPCR, ELISA, Western blotting, electrophoresis, RNA/DNA extraction, tissue processing, microscopy, and mouse handling/husbandry. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Graph Pad Prism, and basic laboratory data analysis software. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate laboratory records and databases.
