Entry-Level Audit & AI Analyst | Process Optimization Dayton, OH – Hybrid Preferred $30/hour About the Role
Our client’s Internal Audit team is in the early stages of incorporating AI tools into their day-to-day work. As they figure out how to use these tools well, they need someone who can help them evaluate what the tools are producing, document what they find, and ask good questions along the way.
This is a new kind of role for them designed for digitally curious, early-career talent. You do not need prior audit experience. What matters most is that you are organized, a clear communicator, and genuinely comfortable using AI tools.
You will work directly alongside experienced auditors, learn how the function operates, and contribute to real work from day one.
AI Evaluation and Enablement- Review outputs that AI tools generate and flag anything that looks off, inconsistent, or worth a second look.
- Learn where the tools work well and where they do not and share those observations with the auditors you support.
- Participate in testing new tools and document how they perform in practice.
- Sit in on process walkthroughs with different teams and help document how those processes work—what goes in, what comes out, and where something could go wrong.
- Note where there are inefficiencies, manual steps, or gaps, and help think through ways to improve them
- Help write up audit findings in plain language that anyone in the organization can understand.
- Assist with gathering and reviewing evidence during audit testing.
- Keep internal process documentation current as workflows evolve.
- Complete a structured learning journey that runs alongside your day-to-day work, covering audit fundamentals, AI literacy, process analysis, and professional communication.
- Work with a team that is actively building something new and wants your perspective as part of it.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of experience—internships, part-time work, and class projects all count.
- You have actually used AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, Gemini, or similar)—not just heard of them. You know what they are good at and where they can mislead you.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with data or financial information.
- Clear written and verbal communication—you can explain something complicated in simple terms.
- Self-starter who asks questions and does not wait to be told what to do next.
- Any coursework or internship exposure to audit, accounting, compliance, or risk.
- Experience with Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with process mapping or workflow documentation.
- Interest in or exposure to the healthcare industry.
