Oversees the planning, implementation, staffing, and tracking for the fulfillment and delivery of the store’s online shopping website. Maintains the order fulfillment process and schedules personal shoppers and delivery drivers.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store.
- Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee’s designated department or elsewhere in the store.
- Makes an effort to learn customers’ names and to address them by name whenever possible.
- Assists customers by escorting them to the products they are looking for, securing out-of-reach products, loading or unloading heavy items, and noting customer suggestions or requests.
- Answers the telephone and emails promptly and provides friendly, helpful service to customers who call.
- Ensures smooth operation of the order fulfillment process and continually monitors incoming online orders to achieve on‑time fulfillment.
- Trains new employees and schedules department employees.
- Ensures that customers are satisfied with their experience and takes steps to address customer service issues.
- Adheres to food safety guidelines and ensures products are kept at the proper temperature.
- Educates employees regarding new policies and procedures and adheres to company policies and store guidelines.
- Reports to work on time when scheduled.
- Performs other job‑related duties and special projects as required.
- Instructs, assigns, reviews, and plans the work of others.
- Maintains standards, coordinates activities, and addresses employee problems.
- Has the authority to recommend employee discipline.

- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to relate to and interact with people in a friendly, professional manner.
- Ability to identify problems, develop, and execute solutions.
- Basic computer proficiency, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and job‑specific programs.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be skilled in computer and internet use.
Physical RequirementsVisual: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction. Sedentary work, occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 10 pounds, occasionally standing or walking. Requires stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Working ConditionsPrimarily performed in a retail store setting, may be exposed to dust, noise, and temperature extremes. Possible hazards include moving equipment and electrical shock. Constant pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
Equipment Used to Perform Job- PC, modem, printer with Windows NT, Microsoft Office, E‑mail, Internet Explorer.
- UNIX systems with VDT’s, cash registers, register computers, electronic scales, calculator, telephone, fax and copier.
Daily contact with store personnel, suppliers/vendors, customers, the general public, and occasional contact with federal or state regulatory agencies regarding inspections.
ConfidentialityAccess to confidential information including inventory costs, sales, e‑mail messages, pricing, sales reports, profit and loss reports, and all operations data.
Salary and BenefitsHourly starting wage $15.50 to $19.50 depending on experience. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre‑employment drug screen.
