Grocery Clerk

This is a temporary seasonal position expected to work through approximately January 9, 2027, based on business and staffing needs.

Good Foods Co-op is a community-owned natural foods grocery dedicated to providing high-quality, local, and sustainable products. As a cooperative, we’re committed to supporting our community, local farmers, and producers while creating a welcoming and inclusive shopping experience.

We’re looking for a Grocery Clerk who enjoys staying active, takes pride in keeping shelves stocked and organized, and wants to be part of a team that values great service, quality products, and community.

• Stocking and rotating products using FIFO (first in, first out)
• Keeping shelves full, faced, organized, and ready for customers
• Providing friendly, helpful customer service and assisting with product questions
• Organizing back stock to minimize out-of-stocks and product loss
• Receiving and processing deliveries and checking products for quality and accuracy
• Monitoring shelf tags and sale signage for accuracy
• Supporting inventory counts and properly handling unsellable products
• Keeping grocery, warehouse, cooler, freezer, and shared work areas clean and organized
• Following safety, sanitation, and store procedures
• Working efficiently with the Grocery team to support daily department needs

• Has previous retail or grocery experience (preferred)
• Enjoys hands-on, active work in a fast-paced environment
• Is reliable, hardworking, and attentive to detail
• Provides friendly and helpful customer service
• Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team
• Has an interest in natural and organic foods
• Is comfortable working in coolers, freezers, and other varied environments
• Is available to work flexible shifts, including at least one weekend day each week

Our Grocery team plays an important role in making sure customers find well-stocked, organized shelves and the high-quality products they count on us to provide.

• Active, fast-paced retail and backroom environment
• Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs and team lift heavier items as needed
• Work in varied conditions, including walk-in coolers and freezers
• Use of step stools, ladders, and store equipment as needed

• Starting wage: $15.00/hour, with annual reviews and growth opportunities
