At Risk Placement Services (RPS), we’re one of the largest Specialty Wholesale Insurance Brokerage firms in the U.S. We work with top carriers to create tailored insurance solutions for our clients. Our team thrives on collaboration, creativity, and responsiveness.
We’re looking for an Underwriter/Broker to join our team. In this role, you’ll help grow our business by building strong relationships with Retail Agents and Specialty Carriers. You’ll provide expert underwriting services and connect clients with the best coverage options.
We are currently seeking Underwriter/Brokers throughout the Southeast region. Hybrid or remote opportunities available.
How You’ll Make An Impact- Build and maintain relationships with Retail Agents and Specialty Carriers.
- Identify new business opportunities and achieve production goals.
- Analyze client submissions to find the best coverage and pricing options.
- Stay informed about industry trends and market changes.
- Provide expert advice on insurance solutions for various industries and risks.
- Lead and train support teams (if assigned).
- Travel as needed to meet clients and partners.
- You have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience.
- You’re skilled in business development and relationship management.
- You’re detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
- You’re comfortable using Microsoft Office and Windows applications.
- You have a home state P&C license or are willing to obtain one within 90 days.
- You’re proactive, responsive, and committed to delivering excellent service.
We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
