Position: Large Corporate TM Officer III

Overview

General Function:
Treasury Management Officer focuses on generating new business from prospects and under-penetrated clients within the Metals, Materials, and Construction sectors. The role may also involve working jointly with a Relationship Manager on well‑penetrated clients who present challenges due to size and/or complexity. The officer is responsible for risk management, ensuring proper policies and procedures are followed, and driving a positive customer experience while operating within the bank’s risk appetite.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the development of new profitable business with a designated portfolio of prospects and clients.
  • Develop strategic sales plans and execute them in coordination with relationship managers, Treasury Services colleagues, and the Relationship Management coverage team.
  • Manage client visitation and contact, and understand clients’ business environments, strategies, and industry to identify new business opportunities and appropriate solutions.
  • Understand competitors’ capabilities and gaps, and position Fifth Third against them.
  • Promote sales through frequent client meetings and discussions covering new products, market and industry developments.
  • Manage proposal writing and the entire sales process.
  • Develop and enhance in‑depth client knowledge and share client risk insights.
  • Work closely with appropriate Relationship Managers to expand existing business with current clients and provide feedback to product managers.
  • Generate cross‑sell opportunities by maintaining strong working relationships with other lines of business.
Qualifications
  • 7 or more years of large corporate cash management, sales and relationship management experience.
  • Strong experience supporting or selling Treasury Management solutions to clients within the Metals, Materials and Construction sectors is strongly preferred.
  • Strong working relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to generate ideas, identify and drive the development of new business.
  • Excellent selling and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong industry/market expertise.
  • Strong time‑management, organizational and planning skills.
  • Strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to mobilize internal networks and resources.
  • Proficiency with PC and internet-based systems to manage a business portfolio.
  • Series7 and
    63 licenses or ability to obtain them.
  • Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and awareness.
  • Knowledge of Fifth Third products, credit process, overdraft management discipline, and pricing philosophy preferred.
Compensation

Total Base Pay Range: $96,500.00 - $ USD annually. Eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan based on company, line of business and/or individual performance.
