Baumann Paper Company is a family-owned distributor of janitorial, food service, and office products and has been proudly serving Kentucky and the surrounding region since 1950.
We are hiring a Vice President of Sales to lead our entire commercial organization — a seasoned outside sales team and our inside sales/support group.
Summary
The Vice President of Sales is a member of the leadership team and will lead the sales department and manage all sales operations. They will accomplish this by developing sales department strategies, training staff and setting sales goals, ensuring sales revenues meet or exceed these goals in order to keep the company profitable. The VP of Sales will be held accountable for not only the sales growth and revenues of the company, but also the sales growth and revenue of each sales manager on the team.
Reaching the maximum of the pay scale listed will rely heavily on factors that include meeting or exceeding company revenue targets; ensuring the success of the sales team in meeting or exceeding their quarterly production goals; and contributing to the company's overall growth and strategic territory expansion.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.
- Prepare sales projections and monitor operational reports to project actual sales while determining profitability.
- Direct and coordinate Sales team in lead generation, presentations, quote preparation, pre-sale coordination and post-sale delivery activities.
- Attend new and major account opportunities with the sales representatives to provide coaching and lend needed expertise to close the sale.
- Oversee resource planning, reporting, territory assignments and future sales incentive plans.
- Develop and implement processes, tools and work standards that focus on customer satisfaction.
- Continually review accounts and determine the book of business for all sales representatives.
- Conduct quarterly and annual performance reviews and support on-going performance discussions while mentoring individuals and developing team camaraderie.
- Develop and continuously improve a written training program for new and experienced sales representatives.
- Organize a monthly sales meeting targeting certain markets or in cooperation with vendors.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
