What You'll DoAs a Diesel Mechanic, you'll be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment.
ResponsibilitiesInspect diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
Diagnose problems using advanced diagnostic software, testing equipment, and hand tools.
Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
Repair, rebuild, and overhaul diesel engines and engine components.
Service and repair transmissions, air brakes, hydraulic systems, and other critical components.
Troubleshoot engine performance concerns and implement effective solutions.
Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and repair documentation.
Follow all safety procedures and shop best practices when working around heavy equipment.
Utilize industry-leading tools, technology, and diagnostic equipment to perform efficient repairs.
Communicate repair needs, equipment status, and timelines with supervisors and team members.
What We're Looking For Required Skills & ExperienceProven experience working as a Diesel Mechanic on trucks, buses, or heavy equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Hands-on experience inspecting, maintaining, and repairing diesel engines.
Knowledge of hydraulic systems and heavy equipment repairs.
Experience with electrical systems, wiring, and engine controls.
Familiarity with transmissions, air brake systems, and drivetrain components.
Proficiency using diagnostic software and computerized troubleshooting tools.
Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
Bonus QualificationsExperience working on semi-trucks, buses, or construction equipment.
Knowledge of fleet maintenance programs.
Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service documentation.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.

This is a Permanent position based out of Lexington, KY.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
