Mobile Repair SpecialistU‑Haul requires skilled technicians to maintain our fleet of trucks and trailers. The role provides flexibility to self‑manage, plan, and execute daily workloads, with growth and advancement opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities- Repair equipment using appropriate tools to meet U‑Haul standards.
- Perform work in a timely manner.
- Diagnose operating errors and determine corrective actions.
- Complete ongoing U‑Haul equipment education.
- Plan effective repair routes in the assigned area and ensure all down or inoperable equipment is repaired or scheduled.
- Maintain inventory of repair parts and ensure proper charge‑out.
- Assist in additional areas as directed by supervisor.
- Self‑starter with the ability to work without supervision.
- Positive attitude.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools.
- Understanding of automotive and trailer mechanics.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Work EnvironmentThe job involves moderate risks requiring special safety precautions: working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or chemicals. Protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields may be required.
Physical DemandsRequires physical exertion, including standing for prolonged periods, moving a minimum of 50 lb. (assisted or unassisted), and working both indoors and outdoors.
