Mobile Diesel Technician Level II

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance ("PM"), DOT inspections and follow‑up repairs on light, medium and heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Perform minor adjustments and repairs on various truck equipment including electrical, brake, cooling systems, starters, alternators, fan clutches, engine electronics, diesel steering systems, engines, transmissions, clutches and differentials.
• Diagnose, adjust and repair various truck equipment.
• Inspect, test and diagnose malfunctions using handheld computers and pressure gauges.
• Road‑test vehicles to ensure proper functioning.
• Identify problems and evaluate alternatives.
• Manage parts inventory and equipment on company‑issued service truck; perform periodic reconciliation.
• Operate service vehicle, conduct safety checks and pre/post‑trip inspections.
• Communicate effectively with clients to assess needs and resolve problems.
• Prioritize concurrent tasks and manage own schedule.
• Use hand tools, precision instruments, diesel tools, welding equipment, lifts and jacks.
• Document work in Repair Orders using iOS device and proprietary TRAIT application.
• Complete DOT and other documentation promptly.
• Work independently; maintain high productivity and meet standard repair times.
• Obtain parts from approved vendors.
• Communicate with management via email or phone for approvals and purchase order retrieval.
• Perform work in compliance with safety, health, environmental policies and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT).

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field. Alternative qualifications may be considered.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for the duties.
• Obtain ASE certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• Successfully complete DOT‑regulated pre‑employment background screening and DOT physical (or provide a valid DOT medical card with >4 months remaining). Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license and ability to maintain Driver Qualification File.

Hourly pay rate $26.73 – $40.10 per hour. Pay may vary based on location and qualifications. Position may be eligible for commission or incentive programs.
