SUMMARY OF POSITION
We are seeking a skilled construction worker/welder to join our team in performing various aspects of marine construction projects. The ideal candidate will be proficient in welding, fabrication, concrete forming/finishing, and other construction methods. The work will primarily take place on or around water, requiring the ability to work from various platforms such as barges, vessels, and push boats. Flexibility and willingness to travel to project locations throughout the continental United States are essential.
ESSENTIALDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read shop and/or construction drawings to plan layout and execute procedures.
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
- Set up components for welding according to specifications.
- Perform several types of rigging, crane utilization, and other heavy equipment on a regular basis.
- Perform new construction, rehabilitation, repairs, and maintenance for existing clients with marine structures.
- Assist with diving operations on various projects.
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (FCAW, GMAW, SMAW) on various metals and positions.
- Experience in using electrical/manual tools required for fabrication.
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face shield, gloves, PAPR, etc.).

YOU WILL NEED- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in the English language.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Work hard, remain motivated, and be a self-starter.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying project schedules and durations, which may require extended stays away from home.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- AWS Professional Certification.
- 0-3 years of experience in construction and/or welding.
- Valid Driver's License
- 1 year of marine construction or similar type work
- AWS D1.1 Certification
The duties of this position require the employee to regularly sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. This position may require the employee to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While in the field, the employee may be required to walk in rugged conditions, work in adverse weather conditions, and stand up to eight hours or more at a time. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the required duties of this position.
This position requires maintaining current industry knowledge and expertise through active involvement in professional organizations and/or other activities that may require additional and/or flexible working hours. The ability and availability to readily work overtime and perform duties outside of normal working hours may be required to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.

COMPENSATIONThe hourly pay range for positions in Kentucky is $23 to $26, depending on education and relevant experience.
