Sheet Metal Technician
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing commercial HVAC ductwork, including rectangular, spiral, round, and specialty metal systems.
Responsibilities- Install commercial HVAC ductwork, including rectangular, spiral, round, and specialty metal systems.
- Fabricate sheet metal components using shears, brakes, and other fabrication tools as needed.
- Install hangers, supports, and equipment following engineered plans and mechanical drawings.
- Seal ducts, test airflow, and ensure systems meet quality and performance standards.
- Coordinate installations with other trades to avoid conflicts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of sheet metal experience.
- OSHA 10 certification is required.
Skills & Qualifications
- Lift certification is preferred.
- PPE requirements include Type II hard hat, high visibility clothing, cut‑resistant gloves, safety glasses, and steel‑toed boots.
Work schedule is Monday to Thursday (10 hour shifts, 40 hour week)
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
