Greater Comfort Mechanical is seeking an experienced Lead HVAC Installer / Project Manager to establish and lead our Lexington-area installation operations. This position is ideal for a highly skilled commercial HVAC professional who can successfully manage projects while leading installation crews in the field.

The Lead HVAC Installer / Project Manager is responsible for overseeing commercial HVAC installation projects from kickoff through completion. This position serves as the field leader for installation operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Greater Comfort Mechanical's quality standards.
The ideal candidate combines advanced HVAC installation expertise with strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Essential Responsibilities Project Management- Manage commercial HVAC installation projects from start to finish
- Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
- Monitor project schedules and budgets
- Attend jobsite meetings and communicate project updates
- Identify and resolve project issues before they impact schedules
- Ensure projects are completed within scope and customer expectations
- Coordinate with operations, sales, service, and procurement teams
- Lead and supervise installation crews
- Assign daily work activities and schedule manpower
- Train, mentor, and develop installers and apprentices
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout projects
- Maintain compliance with all company safety requirements
- Promote a positive and professional team culture
- Install commercial HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, and controls
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and project drawings
- Verify proper equipment startup and operation
- Troubleshoot installation challenges in the field
- Ensure all installations meet manufacturer and code requirements
- Complete project documentation and closeout requirements
- HVAC Journeyman License
- 10+ years of commercial HVAC installation experience
- Proven experience leading installation teams
- Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, and controls
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
- Experience managing commercial construction projects
- Experience with Build Ops or similar project management software
- Advanced understanding of commercial HVAC systems and controls
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and navigate construction sites
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical installation work throughout the day
