Fire Alarm Installer

Johnson Controls is hiring a Fire Alarm Installer to join our Fire Protection Products department within our Manufacturing & Production organization. In this field role, you will install, wire, program, and test commercial fire alarm systems in smart, sustainable buildings, ensuring compliance with NFPA, local codes, and Johnson Controls quality standards. You'll interpret drawings, coordinate with project teams, and troubleshoot issues to deliver reliable life-safety solutions.

Responsibilities

• Install, wire, and mount fire alarm panels, devices, and peripherals per drawings and codes.
• Program, configure, and integrate fire alarm systems with building technologies.
• Perform testing, inspection, and troubleshooting to ensure system reliability and compliance.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and NFPA/local codes to plan installations.
• Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and customers on schedules and scope.
• Maintain accurate documentation, as-builts, and service reports for each project.
• Follow all Johnson Controls and OSHA safety standards on active jobsites.
• Provide on-site customer support, basic training, and clear communication on system use.
