Duties/Responsibilities- Ensuring safety equipment is properly worn while performing work.
- Understand production and man hours and how they drive each enhancement.
- Properly clocking in to track time.
- Assist in completing a pre-trip inspection report daily.
- Using common landscape tools.
- Operating equipment such as dingos, skid steer, and mini excavators.
- Safely operating a truck and trailer while adhering to company’s safety policy and ensuring that the public will be safe while in contact with crews.
- Installing a variety of plant material to the grower’s expectation.
- Installing hardscape including patios, retaining walls, and natural rock features.
- Grading and installing drainage.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Demonstrated aptitude to assure all responsibilities are consistently and efficiently met.
- Capacity to make critical judgments, problem solve and have a strict attention to detail.
- Driven to meet goals of position, department, and company, by working independently and as an effective team member.
- Flexible enough to work varying hours to meet the needs of the company.
- Must be able to safely operate equipment.
- Must be able to lift 70lbs.
- Must be able to walk up to 10 miles a day.
- Must be available to work Monday thru Friday from 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM including possible over time and occasional weekends.
- Physically able to perform duties in all weather conditions.
- Knowledge of industry standard tools and equipment.
- Have a current, valid driver’s license.
- Be able to obtain and maintain a DOT medical certification (medical card), which confirms you meet the federal health requirements for operating a commercial motor vehicle.
- Proficient communication skills.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
