The AV Repair Tech is a full-time, on-site role based in Ohio, United States. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining audio and visual equipment used in live events, including speakers, microphones, mixers, lighting, and related gear. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine equipment inspections, troubleshooting technical issues before and during events, and ensuring all AV systems are in safe, working order.
The AV Repair Tech collaborates with event production teams, documents repairs and maintenance activities, and supports inventory management of AV equipment and parts. This role also interacts with internal stakeholders to address equipment concerns promptly and support high-quality event delivery.
- Strong technical skills in Equipment Maintenance and Appliance Repair for audio, visual, and related event technology.
- Ability to perform effective Troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve AV issues under time-sensitive conditions.
- Commitment to Customer Satisfaction, ensuring reliable equipment performance that supports successful events.
- Clear and professional Communication skills for collaborating with production teams and documenting repair work.
- Prior experience in AV repair, live events, or technical theater is highly beneficial.
- Ability to lift and move AV equipment and work in fast-paced, on-site event environments.
- Basic understanding of electrical safety and relevant tools; certifications or technical training are a plus.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
