We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and service-oriented Maintenance Technician Lead to support the maintenance operations of the community while helping ensure our property remains safe, attractive, and well-maintained for residents and guests.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Maintenance Technician Lead, you’ll perform a wide variety of maintenance and repair tasks while supporting the Maintenance Supervisor in the daily operations of the maintenance department.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Completing maintenance service requests in a timely and professional manner, including repairs involving HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general building maintenance
  • Assisting with apartment make‑ready operations and ensuring vacant homes are prepared for occupancy according to company standards
  • Supporting the Maintenance Supervisor with daily maintenance operations, work order prioritization, and team coordination as needed
  • Troubleshooting and repairing plumbing fixtures, appliances, HVAC equipment, and other building systems
  • Conducting inspections of apartment homes, common areas, building systems, and grounds to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns
  • Assisting with groundskeeping activities, including trash removal, pressure washing, landscape upkeep, and maintaining the overall appearance of the community
  • Maintaining accurate work order documentation and updating maintenance records as required
  • Supporting vendors, contractors, and onsite teams to ensure maintenance projects are completed efficiently and safely
  • Participating in the on‑call rotation and responding to after‑hours emergency maintenance requests as required
  • Following OSHA standards, company safety policies, and operational procedures at all times
  • Promoting a positive, safe, and welcoming community environment
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Who You Are
  • High school diploma, GED, or vocational training required
  • One or more years of apartment, building, facilities, or general maintenance experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general maintenance practices
  • HVAC certification and/or trade certifications in electrical, plumbing, or related fields preferred
  • Ability to read diagrams, technical instructions, work orders, and safety documentation
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently while supporting and collaborating with maintenance team members
  • Customer service mindset with the ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, contractors, and team members
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with work order systems, property management software, Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel preferred
  • Ability to work overtime, respond to emergencies, and participate in an on‑call schedule as needed
  • Valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation required
