Job SummaryThe Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment seeks an Extension Health Partnership Specialist to support Cooperative Extension in advancing health-focused outreach by developing strong community and regional partnerships that align resources to improve the health of Kentuckians. The role will provide leadership in managing health-related projects, grants, and collaborative initiatives. This position will strengthen capacity across counties by assessing needs, organizing available programs, and coordinating resources that align with local priorities.
This position will serve the Central region of Kentucky.
- Develop and manage health-related projects and grants to advance community health outreach.
- Assess community and county needs and align available programs with local priorities.
- Coordinate resources and partnerships to deliver health programs across the Central region of Kentucky.
- Lead project planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring alignment with Cooperative Extension goals.
- Collaborate with county Extension agents, local health agencies, and community stakeholders.
- Master’s degree (MS) in a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in community health partnerships, grant management, or similar roles.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and project-management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Word and PowerPoint.
- Driver’s license and ability to travel within the Central region.
- Formal mentoring program to support professional development.
- Access to a staff development fund for continued learning and skill building.
- Staff recognition programs celebrating contributions.

Physical Requirements
Primarily Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; some weekends and evening activities may be required as needed. The position may require occasional lifting, pushing or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds and loading/unloading supplies onto carts.
