Internship - Modeling Engineer - Summer

Responsibilities

• Tool Development:
  Invent and implement software tools to automate and accelerate creation and maintenance of SPICE compact models
• Model QA:
  Design and implement quality assurance checks and validation flows for new SPICE models
• Automation:
  Improve productivity of QA checks through scripting, batch workflows, and test automation
• Integration:
  Integrate modeling tools with version control and existing EDA/tool chains to ensure reproducible model builds
• Debugging:
  Analyze and debug modeling failures, produce actionable bug reports and corrective scripts
• Documentation:
  Produce clear user guides and inline documentation for tools and model QA processes
• Collaboration:
  
  Work with SPICE modelers, device engineers, and software teams to prioritize tool improvements

• Education:
  
  Enrolled student with a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Programming:
  Strong skills in Python and/or scripting languages and familiarity with build automation tools
• Communication:
  Excellent written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail
• Location:
  
  Ability and willingness to work onsite at the Lexington, KY office
• Teamwork:
  Comfortable collaborating in cross‑functional teams and responding to engineering feedback

Wage range that the company expects to pay for a qualified candidate:

• Minimum of $25 dollars per hour
• Maximum of $30 dollars per hour
• Depending on major and highest level of education completed

All employees will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
