Truck Driver CDL B Solo

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Class B CDL Truck Driver in Lexington, KY. This role offers weekly pay, paid training, and a career with benefits.

  Straight truck
• Equipment: pallet jack, stair walkers, forklifts
• Freight: heavy touch – medical supplies
• TWIC card preferred

• Ensuring compliance with federal/state laws, regulations, and agency rules.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards and maintaining accurate records and logs.
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading as required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder drug test and Background and Motor Vehicle Check.
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements.
• Must have Class A or Class B verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within past 3 years OR 2 years within last 5 years OR 5 years within last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance, and company drivers fuel trucks at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide. Uniforms and boot allowance provided.
