Position Description
Ryder is hiring a Class B CDL Truck Driver in Lexington, KY. This role offers weekly pay, paid training, and a career with benefits.
- Hourly Pay: $25.00 per hour
- Hours per week: 50+ hours
- Schedule:
Monday – Friday - Start time: varies
- Location:
Kentucky, Home daily route - Tractor type:
Straight truck - Equipment: pallet jack, stair walkers, forklifts
- Freight: heavy touch – medical supplies
- TWIC card preferred
- Ensuring compliance with federal/state laws, regulations, and agency rules.
- Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards and maintaining accurate records and logs.
- Loading/unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading as required by customer.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Pass a Ryder drug test and Background and Motor Vehicle Check.
- Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test.
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements.
- Must have Class A or Class B verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within past 3 years OR 2 years within last 5 years OR 5 years within last 10 years.
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance, and company drivers fuel trucks at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide. Uniforms and boot allowance provided.
