Position Description

Immediate opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Part-Time Transfer Driver. Join Ryder in Columbus, OH.

• Weekly Pay: $660 per week
• Hourly Pay: $22.00 per hour
• Local home & home daily schedule, Monday through Friday
• Part-time: 30‑35 hours weekly, start time 8 AM
• 24/7 roadside maintenance and fuel from over 800 nationwide facilities
• Route:
  Shuttle equipment between Ryder customer facilities
• Freight:
  No touch, empty trailers for equipment transfer
• Boot allowance provided

• Safely drive a commercial vehicle, complying with safety & DOT regulations.
• Maintain continuous training and customer service standards.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules.
• Detect and minimize safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Complete other assigned tasks as needed.

• Minimum age 21 years.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from past employers within the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide a Class A CDL and required endorsements.
• Have verifiable Class A experience:
  • 9 months within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
