Senior Warehouse Associate

Job Summary

Responsible for specialized warehouse tasks in receiving, inventory, customer service, and order processing. Requires operation of a company or personal vehicle for more than 20% of the average work week.

• Receives, counts, and records shipment data into the system.
• Matches packing list information to actual packed merchandise.
• Prepares packages/merchandise for storage.
• Records receiving data using computer.
• Packs, unpacks, and marks stock items using identification tags, stamps, electronic marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
• Identifies incorrect or short shipped items and immediately notifies supervisor.
• Delivers products, supplies, and equipment to designated area.
• Operates forklift or other machinery to complete tasks.
• Verifies computations against physical count of stock.
• Examines and inspects stock items for wear and defects.
• Maintains condition of work area (free of trash, product in correct location, etc.).
• Follows company safety policies and procedures and encourages others to do the same.
• Performs order layout, makes changes to carriers or picking method as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of machines and tools.
• Computer experience.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team orientation and cooperative work ability.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report if required by the branch.

• Typical training/experience:
  High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Specialized skills training/certification may be required.
• Generally, 5+ years of experience in the area of responsibility.

• Minimum age 18 years or older.
• Must pass pre‑employment assessment(s) if applicable.

• Work in a comfortable environment with regular exposure to temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for periods up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements, including use of a 10‑key or calculator, bending, or squatting.
