Tax Preparer

Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team in Lexington, Massachusetts. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your tax preparation expertise in a dynamic CPA firm environment. The role focuses on individual tax preparation, including 1040s, with some exposure to S-Corp and partnership returns.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare accurate and timely individual tax returns, including 1040 forms.

- Handle tax preparation for S-Corporations and partnerships when required.

- Utilize CCH Pro System software to streamline tax preparation processes.

- Conduct thorough reviews of tax documents to ensure compliance with regulations.

- Assist clients in addressing tax-related inquiries and resolving discrepancies.

- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to provide informed guidance.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficiency and accuracy in tax preparation.

- Maintain organized records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

- Provide support during tax filing deadlines to ensure timely submissions. Requirements - At least 5 years of experience in tax preparation with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness.

- Proficiency in preparing individual tax returns, including 1040s.

- Experience with S-Corp and partnership tax filings.

- Knowledge and practical experience with CCH Pro System or similar software.

- Strong understanding of tax codes and compliance regulations.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
