Job DescriptionJob Function: The Accounting Intern will report to the Finance Supervisor, Quantech and support the day‑to‑day accounting operations for Quantech Services and its subsidiary, Intlx Solutions. Responsibilities will grow at the individual’s pace.
Responsibilities- Support more complex, day‑to‑day government cost accounting operations for Quantech Services, including applying customer payments, entering vendor bills, and applying online AP payments.
- Review receipts for expense reimbursements and enter credit card transactions.
- Support the month‑end close process and maintain balance‑sheet account reconciliations as applicable.
- Assist with financial audits as needed.
- Document processes and seek process improvements.
- Perform ad‑hoc projects and tasks as required.
- Working knowledge of Deltek CostPoint is a plus.
- Support high‑volume, day‑to‑day accounting operations for Intlx Solutions, including applying customer payments, entering vendor/supplier bills, applying online AP payments, matching to purchase orders, reviewing receipts for expense reimbursements, and entering credit card transactions.
- Support the month‑end close process and maintain balance‑sheet account reconciliations as applicable.
- Support financial audits as needed.
- Document processes and seek process improvements.
- Perform ad‑hoc projects and tasks as required.
- Working knowledge of Oracle Netsuite is a plus.
- Beginner skills in MS Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, SUMIF), Word, PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- High standard of professionalism, integrity, initiative, and resourcefulness.
- Effective time management to meet deadlines amid changing requirements and priorities.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently while adaptable, flexible, and personable to a dynamic team environment.
- Working knowledge of GAAP accounting, preferably equivalent to years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree completed or expected upcoming graduation date, highly preferred in accounting, finance or business administration.
- 0 to 3 years of accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
- This job does not require a security clearance; however, the individual must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance if necessary.
Hourly Rate: $20.00 / Hour
