Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant – Lexington, MA

Associa is hiring a full‑time Staff Accountant for its corporate office.

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements for 15-20 properties with strict deadlines.
• Manage general ledger and month‑end/year‑end close processes.
• Prepare audit and review package.
• Analyze income and expense variances (budget vs. actual).
• Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepaids, adjustments).
• Monitor and manage operating and reserve cash balances on assigned properties.
• Calculate condo fees on new phased‑in units, create invoices, and bill the developer.
• Communicate with management and board members.
• Prepare workers’ compensation audits.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (required).
• Three or more years of accounting experience; property accounting preferred.
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Word experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Team player with ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the organization.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software such as Jenark, C3, or Enumerate.

$65,000–$75,000 per year.
