Senior Accountant

We are partnering with a company in Burlington, MA who is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role will be heavily involved in month-end close activities, General Ledger management, and financial reporting while partnering with leadership to ensure accurate and timely accounting operations. The position offers a hybrid schedule in Burlington, MA.

Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end close activities and ensure timely financial reporting
• Maintain and reconcile General Ledger accounts
• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with financial statement preparation and variance analysis
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit requests
• Analyze accounting data and identify process improvement opportunities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on accounting and finance initiatives
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Strong month-end close experience required
• Extensive General Ledger experience required
• Experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting software/ERP systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Compensation: $38-$45/hour depending on experience
