Architectural Assistant Designer
Job Type: Full-Time |
Please note:
This is not a remote position.
Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 annually
Role OverviewThe Architectural Assistant Designer will help with the design and development of projects from start-to-finish. This will include:
- Documentation from existing conditions through to completion of construction-level drawings.
- Preparation of vision boards.
- Assisting Lead Designers on the selection of fixtures and finishes.
- Working collaboratively with Designers and production teams to assemble estimated construction costs in the Schematic Design Development and Construction Documentation phases.
Candidate must be able to switch between several tasks, as the position requires assistance on multiple projects that are in different phases of design.
Successful applicants must be enthusiastic and passionate about remodeling and must be client oriented. Other requirements include, but are not limited to:
Required Experience- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of working experience in Residential Design (2–3 years is preferred).
- Software Proficiency: Must be experienced/proven proficient in the following:
- AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam Revu, Sketch Up
- Gather It, Adobe InDesign / Acrobat
- Microsoft Office (Excel / Word / Outlook)
- Comfortable taking directions from others.
- Comfortable working on several projects varying in size and complexity.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other design and construction professionals.
- Willingness to learn our Design-Build process.
- Must be proficient in the English language (speaking, writing, and reading).
- Must have a valid driver's license and a vehicle.
- A background in the carpentry/building trade is a huge plus.
- Knowledge of Passive House and/or other building science standards is a plus.
- Familiarity with 3D scanning practices and workflow is a plus.
- Degree in Architecture or Construction Management.
- Accredited Architectural Degree preferred.
