Pelham Academy is a residential treatment setting for adolescents that specializes in trauma informed care. Pelham provides 24-hour comprehensive care including a school on site, a full clinical staff, nursing staff, and direct care staff.
Responsibilities- Create and implement structured lesson plans while building a therapeutic rapport with students.
- Collaborate with the Special Education team to provide the best academics for students.
- Attend meetings with family members, collaterals and other teams to address students' academic needs.
- Help students discover what makes them feel competent and valued by working with them to develop important life skills. Support students in developing a sense of self and providing the skills to be successful in their next steps.
- Provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to maintain a safe therapeutic atmosphere.
- Pay range: $52,000 to $94,000 per year (based on experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications).
- $2,000 bilingual bonus for new hires who speak a second language other than English.
- Reimbursement for registration costs and annual fees for professional licenses (LMHC, LCSW, LICSW, RN, etc.).

- 401(k) match up to $800 per year and pension after five years of employment.
- Tuition reimbursement up to nearly $4,000 per year and discounted rates to selected partner colleges and universities.

- Massachusetts teaching license required.
- Preferable:
Massachusetts Moderate Special Education License. - Knowledge of the needs of the population served, understanding of interventions and treatments required by this population.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to interact with students, families and collaterals positively.
- Leadership abilities; capable of working independently, serving as a responsible, mature and flexible role model.
- Background and driving record checks will be performed.
