Overview
The teacher will provide comprehensive classroom instruction; develop educational goals and objectives that accurately reflect realistic learning styles and needs of each child, and maintain an environment in which learning is an ongoing and positive experience. The teacher will work closely with other direct care providers and direct classroom assistants as necessary.
Responsibilities- Instruct groups of students in assigned areas.
- Provide for a classroom and/or lab environment in which learning is an ongoing and positive experience.
- Maintain an individualized approach to each child s education.
- Develop educational goals and objectives which reflect accurately and realistically the learning style and needs of each child assigned to a class. Implement prescribed curriculum.
- Maintain a professional level of knowledge and skill with regard to subject matter, teaching methods and the physical, emotional and educational needs of children assigned.
- Serve as positive role model for all students in terms of manner, appearance, attitude and knowledge.
