Senior Electrical Engineer Maritime Control Systems

We are an early-stage, maritime defense technology startup backed by top tier investors. Our team is designing and building autonomous and highly producible ships that can serve multiple missions on the open ocean.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer
, you’ll work hands-on with the team building the electrical and power systems that make our autonomous vessels operate safely and reliably ’ll lead design, integration, and testing of control panels, power distribution, and sensing hardware across our platforms. If you are not afraid of getting a little wet, come join our team to develop the latest in autonomous ship technology, gain valuable experience, and have fun doing it.

Responsibilities

• Design of electrical control panels, harnesses, and subsystem interfaces.
• Support integration and testing of power distribution, batteries, converters, and switch gear.
• Create schematics meeting marine and navy requirements.
• Work with various contract manufacturers to get cable harnesses and electronic assemblies built and tested.
• Perform bench tests and debug boards, harnesses, and controls.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Systems, Marine, and Software teams to get projects built and out the door.
• Provide clear, concise instructions to technicians for testing and assembly tasks.

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in robotics, power, autonomy or similar fields.
• Expert with AC and DC circuit design and analysis.
• Have decent soldering skills and comfortable with hand tools and basic power tools.
• Ability to use electrical test equipment safely and train others in electrical safety.
• Experience working on 1000
  
  VDC and 480
  
  Vac projects.
• Experience programming embedded systems.

Nice To Haves:

• Experienced with the failure mode effects and analysis (FMEA) process and can lead a team through the effort
