Job DescriptionThe Human Health & Performance Systems Group is seeking an expert in medical imaging and AI to join our medical operations team. This team is dedicated to developing advanced medical technologies to address critical defense and civilian medical challenges, with a particular focus on improving austere and battlefield medicine. We aim to create impactful solutions that enhance medical care in resource-limited and high‑stakes environments, ultimately saving lives and improving outcomes.
As a member of our team, you will play a key role in advancing this mission by applying cutting‑edge signal/image processing, deep learning, and data analysis techniques to develop AI‑enabled system prototypes. You will collaborate with and lead multi‑disciplinary teams of engineers, scientists, and clinicians to design and evaluate innovative medical imaging devices and human performance technologies. This position offers the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects that push the boundaries of medical technology, contributing to solutions that address some of the most pressing challenges in defense and civilian healthcare.
- Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or another relevant degree. M.S. or M.Eng. with five or more years of relevant experience will also be considered.
- Strong technical expertise in both the theory and practical applications of deep learning model development and deployment on operational systems.
- Expertise in biomedical signal and image processing.
- Proficiency in algorithm development (Python, MATLAB) for extraction, conditioning, and exploration of biomedical datasets.
- Proven experience in leading technical project teams.
- Ability to produce clear, concise, and professional project reports, as well as contributions to technical and scientific publications.
- Experience in software development and deployment on edge platforms.
- Familiarity with medical ultrasound systems.
- Experience conducting medical device evaluations in clinical environments.
Recent Graduate Hiring Range: $145,200 – $170,000
Experienced Hiring Range: $145,200 – $220,000
