We are seeking a talented Digital Design Engineer to join an advanced communications technology team focused on developing next-generation wireless systems, FPGA-based solutions, and high-performance digital signal processing architectures.
This role is ideal for an engineer with strong FPGA firmware experience who enjoys working on cutting-edge prototypes, developing complex digital designs, and bringing innovative communications technologies from concept to hardware implementation.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement digital signal processing blocks using VHDL/Verilog for FPGA-based communication systems
- Design, simulate, synthesize, and optimize FPGA firmware while achieving timing closure
- Work with FPGA SoC architectures and embedded processing platforms
- Develop and validate advanced wireless communication algorithms and waveforms
- Perform hardware integration, lab testing, and system troubleshooting
- Support rapid prototyping and field testing of next-generation communication technologies
- Collaborate across hardware, firmware, and software engineering teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 6+ years of FPGA firmware development experience
- Experience with Xilinx FPGA platforms and Vivado
- Experience with FPGA simulation, synthesis, and timing closure
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, TCL, or Bash
- Experience using lab equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, and related tools
- Experience with Git or other configuration management tools
- Experience with embedded SoC architectures and FPGA-based systems
- Experience with MATLAB for communications analysis and modeling
- Experience implementing wireless communication waveforms
- Understanding of complete digital communication chains (encoding, modulation, synchronization, baseband processing, etc.)
- Experience with JESD-204B or high-speed FPGA interfaces
- Experience deploying FPGA-based communication systems
