We are seeking an experienced FPGA engineer to develop advanced FPGA‑based solutions for cutting‑edge optical communications and high‑performance networking used in mission‑critical applications. The role involves designing, implementing, and integrating complex digital systems from concept through prototype in a highly collaborative engineering team.
What You’ll Do- Design, develop, and implement FPGA solutions using VHDL.
- Develop digital architectures from system requirements and spec.
- Perform FPGA simulation, verification, synthesis, timing closure, and hardware integration.
- Support system bring‑up, debugging, and optimization.
- Develop and maintain reusable FPGA IP and legacy design environments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on communications systems.
- Troubleshoot digital designs on integrated hardware platforms.
- Create and maintain detailed technical design documentation.
- Support high‑speed networking and communication system development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or related engineering.
- 7+ years professional FPGA and digital design experience.
- Strong expertise with VHDL development, FPGA simulation & verification, high‑speed timing closure, synthesis.
- Extensive experience with Xilinx FPGA platforms, including Ultra Scale+ and Versal.
- Advanced proficiency with Vivado; experience with Model Sim/Questa.
- Strong UNIX/Linux experience, including shell scripting.
- Experience integrating FPGA designs into larger hardware systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with DDR4 memory interfaces.
- High‑speed networking/communications systems experience.
- Digital Signal Processing implementation.
- Designing & debugging complex circuit boards.
- Knowledge of MATLAB, Python, Perl, TCL, SystemC, or System Verilog.
- Master’s degree in related discipline.
