Senior R & D Project Manager

Overview

Zifo is searching for an experienced Senior Project Manager to manage one of Zifo's strategic multi-year programs for a marquee customer based in the Boston, MA area. The senior project manager will assist in planning, orchestration, and execution of projects across the IT and Research & Development teams. There will be multiple, concurrent projects that are all in support of the opening and operation of a new lab space in Lexington, MA.

The engagement will require working across technical and scientific digital enablement teams including:

• Core IT (Examples: networking, conferencing & collaboration, MDF/IDF)
• Applications (Examples: ELN/LIMS/Data Capture/Registration systems)
• Automation (Example: High-throughput screening/workcell assay automation)

Location:
Lexington, MA

On-site presence required: 4-5 days per week

Relocation assistance: not eligible

• Planning and coordination of the project deliverables and project team on a day-to-day basis, and act as the central resource for team communication
• Lead project scope and deliverables definition in concert with project champion and key stakeholders
• Accountable for documentation, communication, and mitigation strategy development for risks to schedule, scope, resources, budget, and quality
• In coordination with project champions, conduct start-up meetings with project team to identify roles and responsibilities
• Manage projects with experience in waterfall and SAFE agile methodologies
• Ensure projects progress according to project schedule, scope and budget
• Manage interdependencies between the project and other initiatives
• Responsible for direction setting in project and securing productive working climate
• Design and execute efficient change management

• Prepare and present project status for various committees including Steering Committee
• Timely escalation of issues to stakeholders and Steering Committee for resolution
• Adherence to company s quality management system
• Develop success metrics and perform value assessment of projects
• Prepare project documentation according to standards and guidelines (design decisions, risk logs, stakeholder approvals, training and change management guides)

• 6+ years relevant experience with a documented PM track record
• Technical / Science background
• Knowledgeable in ELN/LIMS/Lab Operations/Data Capture systems / computational science platforms
• Recent experience setting up new wet labs a plus
• Strong knowledge in IT concepts
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in project tracking platforms & Share Point
• Strong stakeholder management competence
• Highly organized
• Demonstrable PM experience with planning and execution
• Experience with similar rollouts and Six Sigma a plus
• Candidate must be local to Lexington, on-site and in-person
